Our 40th Anniversary Very Boring Rally is Now Over!
Thank you to all who visited Aerostich for one or more events in July and August.
Didn’t get to attend any of the rally weekends? Watch the presentations here »
During the months of July and August, a variety of activities are scheduled to share this business milestone. It is worthy of more than a two-day event. And we want it to fit into your summer plans easier, too.
This time around, we’re doing it a little differently!*
The full schedule is not yet final but there will be:
- Good food
- Presentations
- Storytelling
- Contests & Door Prizes
- Tech Sessions
- A collectible T-shirt and rally pin
- Factory tours
- Souvenir booklet
…Plus lots of in-store-only discounts, too!
Awards for a motorcycle poetry reading, oldest/youngest/farthest-distance rider, sorriest-looking bike, and worst worn-out Aerostich suit, too.
This time around there’s no registration fee, but when you show up during business hours in July and August you’ll get a swag bag containing a VBR5 T-shirt, event pin (pin while supply lasts), event program, and some other stuff. Free.
- Aerostich’s 40th Anniversary.
- Moto-related foolishness aplenty.
- At least 163% more boring than the VBR 4.
- Four times as boring as 2013’s VBR 3.
- Seven times as boring as 2008’s VBR 2.
- Twice as boring as 2003’s VBR 1.
- Collectible VBR 5 swag.
- A Mr. Happy Puppet reunion.
All the Duluth area’s summer pleasures and amenities are still here for your amusement, entertainment, and pleasure, including the world’s biggest white sand freshwater swimming beach (six miles long) and eight micro-breweries, three cideries (including a great one only a block down the street). Over the past five years, our immediate neighborhood has ‘gentrified’ and within short walking distance, there are now half a dozen interesting places to eat and VRBO/AirB&B lodgings. Camping is available at Duluth’s commercial campgrounds**, the nearest being about three miles away. There are plenty of great roads and interesting places to ride and explore. Dry, sunny, warm weather guaranteed.
* VBRs 2 and 3 (our 25th and 30th anniversaries) were held at a local ski resort and featured World Cup Observed Trials and on-site camping. The VBR 4 (35th anniversary) took place in and near the Aerostich factory, and at nearby parking lots. Times change.
** Nearby campgrounds include Spirit Mountain (2.3m) and Indian Point (2.1m). Hotel information is here.
